AMS Taxi Schiphol is a local taxi company based in Noord-Holland, the Netherlands, specialising in airport transfers to Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS), Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM), Eindhoven Airport (EIN), Brussels Zaventem (BRU) and Düsseldorf Airport (DUS). We work exclusively with fixed prices — no meter, and no surcharges for night, weekend, luggage or flight delays. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays. We collect travellers at their home address and drive them directly to their departure hall.

All fares are fixed and include VAT. No meter, and no surcharges for night, weekend, luggage, flight delays or tolls.

**Minimum fare (journeys under 4 km):** €20 for a car (1–4 pax) and €30 for a minibus (5–8 pax).

Fares range from €50 (Zwanenburg) to €172.50 (Anna Paulowna) for a sedan.

## How booking works

2. **Confirmation**: you immediately receive an acknowledgement email with journey details and a reservation number, followed by the confirmation once our dispatch has scheduled the ride; the car's registration number follows once the driver is assigned
3. **Pickup**: the driver is at your door at the agreed time
4. **To Schiphol**: driven straight to your departure hall, no detours
5. **On your return**: we pick you up upstairs at Departure Hall 2, exit F; if your flight is delayed the pickup time adjusts automatically

## Frequently asked questions

**How much is a taxi to Schiphol Airport?**
It depends on where you are travelling from. See the fare table above: prices range from €50 to €172.50 for a sedan carrying 1–4 passengers. Every price is fixed and includes VAT.

**How much is a taxi from Schiphol to Haarlem?**
The fare is identical in both directions. See the table above for the town you need; the price shown is the fixed fare each way.

**How far in advance should I book?**
We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead. For early morning journeys (before 06:00) we advise 48 hours. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible — call +31 85 400 5400.

**What time will I be collected for my flight?**
We plan the pickup so that you arrive at Schiphol at least 2.5 hours before departure. For intercontinental flights, which have a 3-hour check-in, we adjust accordingly. Give us your flight time when booking and we calculate the ideal pickup time.

**Will the driver wait if my flight is delayed?**
Yes. We track your flight live using the flight number. If it is delayed the driver adjusts automatically — no phone call needed and no extra charge. The delay itself costs you nothing; from the moment you land you have 45 minutes of free waiting time.

**Are there surcharges for night or weekend journeys?**
No. The price is fixed regardless of the time, day or season. No night rate, no weekend supplement, no holiday surcharge. A journey at 03:00 costs exactly the same as one at 14:00.

**Do you drive to other airports?**

**Can I get an invoice in my company's name?**
Yes. Our business service issues an invoice in the company name including the VAT number. Monthly consolidated invoices are available for regular corporate clients.

**How do I recognise the driver at Schiphol?**
On arrival we pick you up upstairs at Departure Hall 2, exit F — not in the arrivals hall, and without a name sign. If anything is unclear, call our dispatch on +31 85 400 5400.

**Do you help with luggage?**
Yes. The driver helps loading and unloading. If you have heavy cases, ski equipment or golf clubs, mention it when booking so the right vehicle is scheduled.

**Is a taxi cheaper than parking at Schiphol?**
That depends on how long you are away. A week in P3 costs about €95–€140 booked online in advance, and about €196 without a reservation (checked in October 2026). A return from Haarlem costs €110 with us, for the whole car. For one or two days, parking in P3 is cheaper.

**Can children travel with us?**
Yes. Child seats and baby seats are available for children aged 0 to 12, for €12.50 per seat, per ride. Bringing your own seat? Then there is no charge. Choose the number of seats when booking.

**What if I need to cancel?**
Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the journey. Between 2 and 24 hours we charge 50% of the fare; less than 2 hours before pickup, or a no-show, is charged in full. ## Amsterdam Airport Schiphol — pickup instructions

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (IATA: AMS) is the largest airport in the Netherlands and one of the busiest in Europe, handling over 66 million passengers in 2024. It has one terminal building with three departure halls under one roof: Departure Hall 1, 2 and 3. The airport sits in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, about 15 km south-west of central Amsterdam and about 18 km by road from central Haarlem.

**Drop-off for departure:** you can see which departure hall belongs to your flight on schiphol.nl or in the Schiphol app. Give your flight number when you book; the driver drops you at the right departure hall.

**How early to arrive for departure:**
- European flights: Schiphol advises 2 hours before departure; we plan more generously, at 2.5 hours
- Intercontinental flights: be at Schiphol 3 hours before departure

**Where to meet your driver on arrival (return journey):**

We pick you up upstairs at Departure Hall 2, not downstairs in the arrivals hall. The route is the same for every flight:

1. After baggage reclaim, take the lift or escalator one floor up to Departure Hall 2
2. Take exit F (revolving door)
3. Cross the zebra crossing to the outer lane
4. The driver pulls up when you signal

## Reliability during congestion and roadworks

AMS Taxi Schiphol monitors traffic daily on the routes between Noord-Holland and Schiphol. When there is congestion, a closure or an accident, our drivers use established alternative routes:

**Haarlem to Schiphol (normally via the A9/N205):**
- Main route: A9, Badhoevedorp exit, then Schiphol Boulevard to the terminal
- Alternative if the A9 is closed or jammed: N232 via Schiphol-Rijk, or N201 via Aalsmeer
- From central Haarlem or Schalkwijk: always at Schiphol within 30–45 minutes, even in heavy traffic

**Beverwijk / IJmuiden to Schiphol (via the A9):**
- Main route: A9 towards Schiphol
- Alternative when the A9 is jammed: N208 through Haarlem, then N205 towards Schiphol
- Journey time in heavy traffic: 60–75 minutes at most

**Hoofddorp to Schiphol (via the N232/N201):**
- Journey time off-peak: 10–15 minutes
- Journey time in heavy traffic: 25 minutes at most
- Hoofddorp is the town closest to the airport
